Old Mill House is a B&B full of character and history with roots dating back to the 16th century. The house was once owned by the eccentric Colonel Charlie Charrington who housed his hunting collection in the annexe and moved himself between floors using a dumb waiter machine! In the 1950s the estate was a prestigious fishing and country club. And for the last 30 years, it has been a residential recording studio that doubles as a B&B when the studio is empty. Many rock 'n' roll stars including Ozzy Osbourne, Freddie Mercury and Oasis' Gallagher brothers have slept in the rooms while recording at the music studio.
All rooms at Old Mill House Bed & Breakfast come with freeview television, welcome tray and clean towels. In total, the B&B has six bedrooms compromising 3 double rooms with en suite, and 3 twins (one with en suite). In total, we can sleep up to 12 people.
As well as the en suites, the B&B has a large communal bathroom with shower and Victorian bath, plus two further shower rooms.
Although the original building is more than 500 years old, the B&B has the very best in modern technology for guests to enjoy. BT business broadband is available throughout for those needing internet access with their laptops. We also have Mac and PC internet workstations for guests wanting to go online who have not brought computers with them.

Old Mill House Bed & Breakfast boasts one-and-a-quarter miles of fishing rights on the beautiful River Monnow and is the place to come for your fishing holiday or short fishing break.
